PARENTS – next to God

They are my building blocks,
For me and my need they are awake for every tick of the clock !

Just when I opened my eyes they were the ones to first hold me tight,
I know they love me with all that they have even though at times I fight !

They are my strength, my guide, my friend,
I am sure the will be equally loving and caring till their end !

They made me into what I am today,
by sacrificing their life each second and day !

They are my gift of God through days “sunny, cloudy,stormy”,
O God its so true that I love you daddy and mommy !!!

p.s Dedicated to my Baba and Ma. And also all loving parents of the world ……
p.p.s Baba and Ma means father and mother in vernacular.

I, ME ‘n’ MYSELF !!

” Yes I want to be a bird who flies very high !
Yes I want to be the bird who will conquer the sky !!

Yes I want to be the bird who will rule her region !
but in moments of joy will dance in the rain..

Yes I want to be the bird who will be fastest in hunting prey !
Just because I want to feed them who pray for food everyday..

Yes I want to be the bird who wont bother about enemies, stabbers or other,
but at the end of the day be a loving daughter, wife and mother..

Yes I want to be a bird, Yes I will be a bird !
May be not first day, second day but surely the third … “

The above poem was written by me few months back when I was going through a tough time in my career. Though I am not a good poet but at times do write little ones. This poem is closest to my heart as each line of this describes exactly what I feel. Hope you all will like it.
