Grandpa : dadubhai will you take me to the pandal for once please.

He went to the pandal in wheel chair ! An old lady came and stood beside him draped in a beautiful red-White saree with a big red bindi but wrinkled skin..

Grandpa and the lady looked into eachother’s eye and chanted the pushpanjali verses!

Even after 60 years she is his Durga inspite of knowing he is not Shiv and both kept the promise of “giving pushpanjali together every year since they were kids”……

A love story by me dedicated to all lovers across the world ! Some love never dies !

P.S.. Durga and Shiv are Worshipped as God by Hindus. And they are considered to be husband and wife . Pushpanjali is a ritual of offering flowers to God during celebration..

P.P.S.. Durga Puja is one of the most famous festival of India which mainly takes place in the city of Kolkata.. Though it is nowadays celebrated in every corner of the world with pomp and glory ..

She always won but fate made her lose in something special..

But Once again she took the most difficult challenge ever without accepting the defeat. The challenge “to trust and love again” !

Old is gold – a visual art!

Since childhood I had fascination about many weird things , one of which is old Architecture rather any sort of old semi-broken buildings which may be totally abandoned now.

Whenever I see such old architecture I somehow get lost in a complete different world . I start imagining what could have been the incidents or events which must have took place there , I start imagining what kind of life the people would have lived in that particular building , what emotions may have been attached with those buildings by the persons who resided there or visited there, how those buildings were once a part of happiness-sorrow in ones life etc etc. Basically these old architectures provoke my imaginative habit a bit too much.

Luckily the city where I live is quite an ancient one and it has some fine architecture. Lately when I go to my office through some “so-called” old areas in my city Kolkata, I click pictures of some of the very old or broken buildings in my phone.  Few of them are some famous buildings too . Here I am sharing three of my best-loved pictures which I clicked. Hope you all will like it too !

 

1 lie > 100 truths, love, care??

I know you may find this topic to be quite bizarre as I usually don’t write posts about such topics . But I wanted to write on this particular theme from a very long time .

Many a times during my discussion with my friends or near ones I heard that they are not being able to trust their loved ones anymore inspite of knowing how much love still exists between them .Many years back I remember myself lying to one of my close person and how from that very moment the person kept doubting me forever . I found this very strange always. I always thought that if I know ‘someone loves me truly’ then even if he/she lies for one time it won’t matter much rather I thought everyone must feel the same way. But some months back I myself underwent a phase where I caught one of my loved ones lying to me. And very  astonishingly it was not very easy for me to accept as I thought it would be . And just like others I couldn’t trust the person blindly anymore like I used to do previously. But I know why the person lied to me and how much that person loves me but still somehow at the back of my mind the thorns of the lie keeps pricking. And at times no matter what beautiful things the person does for me, I am not able to trust anymore . At that very particular moment I feel whatever the person is doing for me is all fake, even maybe the love is fake .. That one lie makes me forget thousands of beautiful moments that the person gifted, the love that the person showered on me or the care which that person continues to exhibit.

Does this mean one lie is more powerful than love, care and hundreds of more truth?

This is one question which I am sure many of us have felt in life in some point of time or the other. Many of us have not found the answer to it yet. But somehow I myself tried to find this answer and from my point of view I felt our minds attract the negatives more than positive. And since being matured persons we use our brains more than our hearts, so we like to believe the lies more than the deep truth which is known to the heart. I guess if we would have paid a little more heed to heart instead of mind then surely love, care and truth would have been the winners instead of lies..

I know it’s easy to say but difficult to follow but still would request all of you to give it a thought as it might save many relations from breaking and may help build the blossom of love once again..

Keep loving and keep being honest !!!

One of my friends tagged me in a Photography Challenge week in facebook, where I am suppose to upload some of my favorites click over few weeks. So I decided instead of posting just in facebook let me share it with all of you.

I just like to click pictures, I am not a professional photographer neither I own any super good camera. I click pictures with my cellphone mainly just because I like to capture beauty, moments and events of my life !! Though my husband gifted me his nice digital camera of Canon with which I am planning to click more good pictures.

Mother’s love is the best Love !

Nothing in this world is as precious as the love of a mother . Whether its a human or animal or bird, a mother is always a mother. So a special painting by me which I painted quite a number of months back to depict motherhood and love of a mother.

Lessons from Leonardo !

“Jack Dawson” !! A name which makes our heart skip a beat till date.
“Jordan Belfort” !! A name which us makes people go crazy.
And this way the list continues……………………

I hope by now you all understood about whom I am talking. Yes !! It is none other than Leonardo DiCaprio. A man for whom each corner of the globe is just crazy. A man who himself is like an entire Hollywood industry. The world could finally jump in joy when he won the oscar for The Revenant, afterall along with him the entire world prayed for his oscar every year.

Honestly Leonardo Dicaprio was my childhood crush 🙂 To me Hollywood meant just Leonardo. The first feeling of falling in love was due to him and his innocent smile and deep eyes in Titanic.. OH ! I STILL CANT FORGET THAT (I am sure most girls cannot ) 😀

If not all but I have watched some of his movies, even though I didnt understood all of them.

I personally feel Leonardo is not just a great actor but a person who teaches us a great lesson in life. He is the one who showed how continued hardwork, patience and dedication helps us reach out dream and goal. Many people made fun of him, many people blamed his luck, many people criticized his skill BUT he never broke down due to it. He was never afraid of failure. Starting from 1997- 2016 he continued showing his dedication without loosing focus. He went giving hits one after the other, but still media and critics criticized his work.  But in the end finally even luck failed to keep the Oscar away from him.

I feel not only in the movie industry but in each industry if we can follow the steps of Leonardo then we are surely going to taste extreme success. May be it will take years to touch the sky but in the end we will. Nothing can stop us from getting the success if we keep working hard and keep showing dedication without being broken by failure each time.

I must say along with some wonderful entertainment, Leonardo gifted us some wonderful life changing lessons..
